The Whistling Wolves on 01.25.13 at Jalopy

The Whistling Wolves were one of many acts playing the sold-out John Hartford tribute on January 25, 2013. I didn't have a seat, so drawing conditions were not ideal, and I regret I didn't even get all the band members playing with them that night. But I did get: Trip Henderson, Spiff Wiegand, Chris Q. Murphy, and Emily Eagan. [caption id="attachment_2042" align="alignleft" width="490" caption="The Whistling Wolves, 01.25.13. Drawing by and © Robin Hoffman, 2013"]The Whistling Wolves, 01.25.13. Sometimes Why at The Parlor Room, 01.04.13, with Margaret Glaspy

Margaret Glaspy opened for Sometimes Why at The Parlor Room in Northampton on January 4. The Parlor Room is a new, intimate venue in which I am looking forward to spending more time listening and drawing. They are: Aoife O'Donovan, Ruth Merenda, and Kristin Andreassen. Kristin is playing the Jalopy Friday night, January 25. Kelli Rae Powell and Daughter, 10.17.12

Kelli Rae Powell graciously allowed me into her home to draw her in resplendent late pregnancy. Kelli Rae sang and rocked while her unborn daughter occasionally gave the ukulele a good, strong kick. UKUBIQUITOUS Exhibit is Closing with a Reception Tomorrow

Drawing by and © Robin Hoffman, 2012[/caption] UKUBIQUITOUS, my fourth exhibit at the Jalopy Theatre and School of Music, closes tomorrow with a reception from 6-8 PM. The work will stay up until sometime Thanksgiving weekend. In light of the crisis the neighborhood of Red Hook, Brooklyn, where Jalopy is located, has suffered from Hurricane Sandy, we have decided to slash art prices by 20% and donate half of all proceeds directly to the relief effort. In case you can't make it down to the Jalopy, you can have a look right here.
