Brooklyn Folk Fest Preview and Benefit is Saturday!
Tuesday, March 9th, 2010Don’t forget, the Brooklyn Folk Fest Preview and Benefit show is this coming Saturday, 9PM at the Jalopy Theatre
Here’s a piece I made especially for the raffle: just gotta frame it and it’ll be good to go. I made a heat-transfer print from the original sketch of Ernie and Slim, then drew some more over top of it.

The raffle includes many fantastic prizes, and the performance includes Mamie Minch, Alex Battles and Banjorama, The Dust Busters, and Blind Boy Paxton.
Brooklyn Folk Fest Preview Coming Up in March
Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010I just got word that a special Preview and Benefit Concert for the second Brooklyn Folk Festival, hosted by Eli Smith, is scheduled for March 13th, 2010 at the Jalopy Theatre.
The Preview Concert will feature a stellar lineup: Mamie Minch, Alex Battles and Banjorama, The Dust Busters, and Blind Boy Paxton. Entry is $10, doors open at 8, and there will be raffle prizes.
The second annual Brooklyn Folk Festival is planned for May 21-23 at the Jalopy Theatre. The first Brooklyn Folk Fest, last May, was terrific. You can see my drawings here.

I reckon I’ll have to get there early to get a seat…
Documentary About The Jalopy
Tuesday, January 12th, 2010Thanks to Isto I discovered this wonderful little documentary about The Jalopy Theatre, directed by Seth Tabatznik. Toward the end there is a nice shot of my art on the walls of the performance space.
