Kelli Rae Powell and Daughter, 10.17.12

Kelli Rae Powell graciously allowed me into her home to draw her in resplendent late pregnancy. Kelli Rae sang and rocked while her unborn daughter occasionally gave the ukulele a good, strong kick. Katryna and Amelia, 05.07.12

For a Mothers' Day art and music show this spring, I contributed one of my drawings of a pregnant musician playing music to her unborn child. I'm working on a collection of these. But, in this particular show, there were too many pictures already about pregnancy and birth. So, I went next door to draw my neighbor, Katryna Nields, and her daughter, Amelia Nields Chalfant, making music together in their home.
