The Carolina Chocolate Drops and the Spirit Family Reunion in Northampton, 04.11.14

The Calvin Theater in Northampton, MA is an old movie house converted for live music shows. It's not an intimate performance space at all, therefore a tough place to try to sketch the way I do. I gave it a whirl anyway. The Whistling Wolves on 01.25.13 at Jalopy

The Whistling Wolves were one of many acts playing the sold-out John Hartford tribute on January 25, 2013. I didn't have a seat, so drawing conditions were not ideal, and I regret I didn't even get all the band members playing with them that night. But I did get: Trip Henderson, Spiff Wiegand, Chris Q. Murphy, and Emily Eagan. [caption id="attachment_2042" align="alignleft" width="490" caption="The Whistling Wolves, 01.25.13. Drawing by and © Robin Hoffman, 2013"]The Whistling Wolves, 01.25.13.
