Brett Dennen Concert Poster and Other News

Six years of drawing live music came in handy for this assignment. I'm always happy when working with Ray Buetens and Staci Sambol of Slub Design, who hired me for this illustration. I haven't seen Brett Dennen live yet: I spent hours listening and making studies from photos and video. I hope to catch him when he tours near here.

And now, that other news. In August, my art will be hanging all over downtown South Deerfield, MA. Come see me in the Greenfield Savings Bank and the Day Lily boutique. All the pictures will be for sale.

My Work in the Window

My illustration "Downton Sounds" appears in the window of the music store, Downtown Sounds, for the next month or so. It was commissioned by the owner, Joe Blumenthal, and features the staff of Downtown Sounds, all holding ukuleles. The work will stay up until sometime Thanksgiving weekend. In light of the crisis the neighborhood of Red Hook, Brooklyn, where Jalopy is located, has suffered from Hurricane Sandy, we have decided to slash art prices by 20% and donate half of all proceeds directly to the relief effort. In case you can't make it down to the Jalopy, you can have a look right here.
