Banjo Roots Festival, January 8, 9, 2010
I was able to make it to the first 2 of the three days of the Banjo Roots Festival at the Jalopy Theatre. The new art on the walls are vintage banjos and memorabilia from the collection of Shlomo Pestcoe, who played on the third night.
Appropriately, Pat Conte opened the festival.

I am still working with different colors of toned paper, the same view over again…

Los Angeles area readers (do I have any?), look for The Dust Busters playing with the Dough Rollers on your side over the next month or so.

Robin, it was a pleasure meeting you that night and watching you draw Allison and her band. I’d love to see those someday. You’re a quite an excellent dancer, too!
Best,
Richard
