The Red Hook Ramblers
Sunday evening the Red Hook Ramblers played outside on the sidewalk in front of Jalopy. It was a fantastically beautiful night and nobody wanted to be indoors. People gathered on the sidewalk to listen and dance. Somebody in a nearby building blew a horn in between songs, sounding like a whiny animal mating call. An authentic Brooklyn-New Orleans jazz moment.

Franglais playing on April 16, 2009 at Jalopy
Franglais. I enjoy them more each time I see them. Incidently, they seem like nice people, too. Left to right: Justin Lees, Piruz Partow, Eve Seltzer, and Ben Wood.

The Veveritse Brass Band at Jalopy Tuesday. They did not try to squeeze the whole band on stage, but instead played on the floor directly in front of us.
